Welcome to the Laker Beat on InterLakes TV
This will be where Inter-Lakes and the community will get Inter Lakes morning news and announcements. Notice the new menu at top of page.
Starting this week a group of students will embark on a journey with me to tell a new story about Inter Lakes High School.
Their Own !
I will be bringing my entire studio into Inter Lakes High School twice a week until we get our own equipment. This equipment will help these select students tell their stories. We will be producing a monthly news program to start in a video magazine style. No just sitting behind a desk for these students. Covering sports, teachers, community, and student news and events will keep the school and community informed. They will also be creating upbeat music videos to keep the school entertained.
Here is where a student who misses a class or teachers who want to learn video production at our school can tune in and watch at their leisure. All classes will be recorded for online viewing. This page will list our current projects and assignments for each student. Everyone will see our progress and watch as we transform Inter Lakes High School into a Video production Studio.
So if you are a current student who signed up and you see me dragging in a Boom Crane, HD Cameras, MacPro 8 core Desktop, Green Screen, Aleisis Master Controller audio mixer, HD monitor, MacBook Pro, various tripods, and much more...Please help...Thanks.
Your first assignment as a group will be to come up with ideas for a 1-5 minute video to present to the Towns and school Board why we need video equipment at our school. We will be editing and shooting this video the first month and then we will make our presentation to the community. Come to class with some reasons why you feel we should have video equipment at our school. Then we will write a script and shoot and edit. I will be with you every step of the way using every piece of equipment you need to make a first class production. You can make it serious, music video style, or even thriller. Just keep it ......You know...PG
At the same time we are doing this we will be preparing for our first InterLakes.TV broadcast on the Laker Beat. This will start off as a monthly News Magazine for Inter Lakes High School. As we get our own equipment we will transition to a weekly show and then shoot for daily broadcast. I currently can broadcast to all three sites "Live" now so as we work out details of best ways to get it into every classroom, we will pre-record for monthly broadcast on InterLakes.TV and Interlakeshighschool.com as well as show in cafeteria looping on a wide screen TV.The idea of this magazine is to have fun with the school and the technology you will be using.
Please fill out new sheet in Mr A's office for which days would be best for you and times...If you can't make it let me know if possible and tune in here for the class you missed.Cool...Class in your PJ's...Love video..don't you...

Looking for "Laker Beat" Hosts..
OK maybe not High School Musical but at least someone who is pleasing to listen to...are you out there ? It's not me !
Don't be intimidated. The magic of editing and studio work is that we can make anything look and sound great..Except me....
We will be having a school contest to chose who will be the first InterLake TV hosts. We need a male and female announcer. You as students will vote for your best host. They should be good at public speaking or want to be....and comfortable in front of a camera or at least try to be...Everyone at the school will be a host to some degree. (See video sample above from another school video.) We need two hosts that will be available for our school Video Magazine and community news programs. If that's you, please contact me or come to our first meeting and see what it's all about. Do a sound test in private. You may surprise yourself. I always wanted to be a rock star but one listen to my recorded voice and I settled for an Airline Pilot instead. Thank God.....
